I am so thankful you found your way here,

and look forward to meeting you and your kids in person!

 

I currently teach homeschoolers of all ages from across Hampton Roads. Most families live in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, or drive up from North Carolina.

 

Students in my classes are friendly, engaging, bright, and welcoming, with new classmates joining throughout the year. We form a 'family' learning together, and it is one that I pray will have positive lasting impact long after our final day of class.

All my classes are taught from a Christian foundation. I pray with kids, and invite them to share prayer requests with me. There is no use of God's name in vain, cussing, or 'adult language' in my classes. Topics are presented in a way that does not counter a Biblical worldview. Students are respectful with one another, and we hold to a zero tolerance policy for bullying.

 

All classes are drop off and 1 hour long, with the exception of occasional Musical Theatre rehearsals for performances or camp week. Each year I poll parents to ask which classes they would like to see the following school year. This is done so that we can offer the most benefit for children interested in homeschooling together, and so we don't overlap classes that several may wish to take. You are welcome to message me any time with class requests or questions.

Below are classes I have developed and love to teach. Courses change each year so students can enroll more than once. A few long-time students have taken classes 6 years and counting with me -- which is such a joy! Materials and curriculum are updated to remain current and fresh with each new year.

 

Your child is welcome to try out a class any time, to see if it is something that fits their style and your family.

Classes meet at a church near Norfolk State University, just off Highway 264.
